In the wake of Angus Cloud‘s sudden passing, Zendaya is chiming in to share some words about her late Euphoria costar.
Fans of the beloved HBO series will recall Angus’ character, Fezco (aka Fez), serving as a drug dealer and confidant to Rue—Zendaya’s character. In real life, the pair also shared a bond, which Zendaya acknowledged while paying homage to “the infinite beauty that is Angus.”
On Tuesday (Aug. 1), Zendaya shared a photo of a smiling Angus on Instagram. Beneath the black-and-white picture, Zendaya started her caption by declaring, “Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor).”
She went on to say that she was “grateful” for the opportunity to “know him in this life.” The 26-year-old actress was sure to also call attention to Angus Cloud’s “bright smile” and “infectious cackle of a laugh.”
Additionally, she pointed out that the popular “they could light up any room” saying is particularly fitting for Angus.
“I’m so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it) I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love…’they could light up any room they entered’ but boy let me tell you, he was the best at it. I’d like to remember him that way.”
She then reminisced about the “boundless light, love, and joy” he brought his loved ones, which Zendaya said she’d continue to “cherish.”
The Challengers actress wrapped up her caption by writing, “My heart is with his mother and family at this time, and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.”
As The Shade Room previously reported, the world learned about Angus Cloud’s passing on Monday (Jul. 31).
TMZ broke the news and shared a statement from his family, which read, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today.”
The family also acknowledged that Angus had “struggled with [the] loss” of his father, who was buried a week earlier. Later, TMZ noted that Oakland authorities were responding to a 911 call that his mother made about a “possible overdose.” However, the exact cause of death has not been revealed.
We continue to send our condolences to Angus Cloud’s loved ones.
