Nothing about Yung Miami says shy or reserved, but this half of the City Girls says she definitely was! Miami took to Twitter to open up a lil’ bit about her journey as a rapper so far, and says she’s proud of the growth that she has made.
The City Girls have been rapping for about three years now, and became some of the hottest rappers out after the release of their “Period” album back in 2018. After JT was arrested, Miami was left to hold down the group, and she was heavily criticized about her voice and her flow.
She says, however, she has grown so much and doesn’t care who things otherwise!
“I used to be so shy and nervous I couldn’t record in front of nobody and I never wanted nobody to hear but now I’m more confident. Ion care who in the room I be like turn it up!!! Tf,” she tweeted. “For me to only be rapping for 3 years with no experience I feel like I do good af idgaf who think differently.”
Yung Miami’s growth has been noticed by fans as well, who sent her encouraging messages in The Shade Room comments.
“Y’all don’t sit here and act like she ain’t hold it down when JT was locked up,” one fan wrote.
“It’s good she’s confident despite how much people try to bring her down! Good for her,” another fan said.
“She has definitely been working on her craft & you can’t do nothing but respect that! PeriodT,” one user said.
