Young Thug has landed himself back in jail after failing his most recent drug test, and now he’ll have to await trial from behind bars.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, a Georgia judge revoked the rapper’s bond on Thursday during the arraignment in his felony drug case. The judge said his drug test came back positive, and because he was ordered to stay clean under the conditions of his release, he was sent back to jail.
He was booked into DeKalb County Jail around 8:30am and is being held without bond.
It was previously reported that Young Thug was charged with a total of eight felonies connected to an arrest from 2017. Police pulled him over for his tinted windows and they discovered multiple drugs in the vehicle.
He is being charged with “possession and intent to distribute meth, hydrocodone, and weed. He’s also charged with possession of amphetamine, Alprazolam, codeine (2 counts) and a firearm.”
Back in August, we reported about the rapper and members of his entourage getting busted for allegedly having multiple weapons in their possession. The arrest took place outside of his album release party/ birthday party. Law enforcement sources revealed a member from his crew ran into a police cruiser, which caused a vehicle search, leading authorities to uncover weapons.
Shortly after Young Thug posted to his social media to let his followers know he was released. The following month is when he was officially hit with the eight felonies.
We’ll continue to keep you updated.
