Young Thug’s dad, Jeffrey Williams Sr., is standing ten toes down for Gunna, despite what the innanet says and thinks.
On Tuesday, (June 11), Gunna shut down the State Farm Arena in Atlanta with his ‘Bittersweet’ show, and Young Thug’s dad, Jeffrey Williams Sr., was front row for the concert.
In a now-viral video, Jeffery Sr. could be seen turning up to ‘Ski’ and eventually hitting the dance a few times. The hit single is a joint collaboration from Young Thug and Gunna, featured on their joint album, ‘Slime Language 2.’
HotNewHipHop reports that social media users have long questioned Jeffery Sr. and Gunna’s relationship since he accepted a plea deal in late 2022 following his arrest on RICO charges, along with 27 other alleged YSL members, including Young Thug. Gunna was released shortly after hsi plea, sparking speculation that he snitched on his co-defendants.
However, the ‘Pushin P’ hitmaker has denied those claims and Jeffery Williams Sr. also remains unfazed. HotNewHipHop further revealed that during an interview with ‘Infamous Sylvia’ in September 2023, Young Thug’s father confessed his admiration for Gunna, insisting that he hasn’t done anything to harm the YSL case.
Of course, the Roomies made sure to comment on Thugga’s dad catching a vibe at Gunna’s ATL concert. Several social media users hopped in The Shade Room comment section to defend his decision to attend the concert.
Instagram user @xotanye wrote, “..and this why ppl need to mind their business.”
While Instagram user @bbldre wrote, “And y’all still think Gunna a rat?”
Then Instagram user @whydoigethigh wrote, “People gonna be mad when Thug and Gunna link up again and drop one of the hardest collab albums of the decade.”
Instagram user @iamjplaza wrote, “A lot of y’all need to apologize to Gunna.”
Instagram user @regankay_llc_ wrote, “He said they have no problem with him.”
Finally Instagram user @tay_b.o.u.j.e.e wrote, “Now yall WUNNA say sorry to GUNNA….”
Speaking of Young Thug, the rapper’s ongoing RICO trial took a new turn, leaving social media in shambles.
As The Shade Room previously reported, following Young Thug’s court appearance on Monday (June 10), authorities arrested his lawyer, Brian Steel, and sent him to jail.
New York Post reports that Judge Ural Glanville found Brian Steel in contempt of Fulton County Court on Monday after Ural challenged him.
Steel accused the judge of holding a meeting that excluded him but included “the State and key witness Kenneth Copeland.” However, he refused to reveal how he found out about the meeting, leading to the arrest.
On Wednesday, Billboard reported that the Georgia Supreme Court granted Steel’s emergency motion for bond and agreed to review the ruling.
