Now, this is the definition of true love and support! A Michigan boy invited his whole kindergarten class to his adoption hearing on Thursday, and his classmates were front and center for the special moment.
According to WZZAM 13, the young man who is named Michael Orlando Clark Jr. was joined by his classmates at Kent County, Michigan, courthouse as he became one of 36 children that were adopted during the county’s 23rd annual Adoption Day.
His classmates could be seen holding waving red and pink hearts as they sat in the courtroom in support of Michael.
Judge Patricia Gardner said, “Sometimes their journeys have been very long, they’ve included miracle and change for the children and family and incredible community support as you’re able to see today in Michael’s adoption hearing. His whole kindergarten class and school being here to say ‘we love you,’ and ‘we support you’ and ‘we’ll be here not only today but in all the years in the future.'”
Michael’s teacher also said, “We began the school year as a family. Family doesn’t have to be DNA, because family is support and love.”
Santa Claus was also present to greet each family that celebrated the expansion of their families.
