Young MA Got Candid About Past “Wrong Decisions”
On Sunday, the 31-year-old rapper took to her Instagram Story to share a candid update with her fans.
“I know I been low-key… long story short… just a small setback for a comeback. Unfortunately, I made a lot of wrong decisions in my life, and you know, things started to, catch up with you or whatever the case.”
Young M.A went on to share that “besides all that,” she’s “doing much better.”
“I’ve been getting well. I’ve been very much sober.”
Before ending the video, the rapper shared that she plans to bring fans along on her “journey” through new music and an upcoming documentary.
“Y’all know I’m mysterious — I keep my personal problems to myself. But now, it’s time to expand and express that to y’all.”
Additionally, the rapper explained that she’s “still here” and “ain’t going nowhere.” Furthermore, she plans to give her fans a “MA summer.”
The Rapper’s Update Seems Connected To A Viral Video Shared In March
A viral video surfaced on social media last month, which showed the rapper seated in a barber’s chair. Her eyes appeared to be yellow in color, and fans immediately became concerned for the rapper’s health.

The video was reportedly recorded by the rapper’s barber, and he received tremendous backlash for publicly sharing the footage. However, the barber defended himself and called for social media users to send their prayers. Rather than send their criticism.
“….Y’all don’t know our bond nor our friendship, what y’all need to do is just send your prayers for her and that’s that…”
Young M.A also came to her barber’s defense and shared a few words, assuring the public that she was okay.
“We blessed don’t let that get to u bloody…”
