Roommates, despite being recently diagnosed with coronavirus, rapper YNW Melly was denied an early release from prison—and now he’s hoping his celebrity contacts can help him get out. He recently posted a tweet directed to Kanye West in the hopes that Ye (or his wife Kim Kardashian) will help him be freed from a Florida jail.
If you’re a fan of YNW Melly then you know that one of his most popular songs features none other than the legendary Kanye West. Which is why it’s not all that surprising that Melly would call on Ye to help him get out of his very serious legal situation. If you’ve been keeping up, YNW Melly is doing everything he can to get out of jail, especially since he recently tested positive for coronavirus.
However, his requests continue to be denied due to the severity of his charges, which involve a double murder of his two friends he allegedly committed back in early 2019. Melly recently took to his Twitter account to send a message to Kanye. He simply tweeted, “@kanyewest need your help Dm.”
As you know, Kanye and Kim Kardashian have friends in high places and Kim has spent the last few years fighting for criminal justice reform producing successful results at getting inmates out of prison. YNW Melly likely hopes that the same can happen for him.
Meanwhile, as we previously reported, Melly is allegedly being given Tylenol and Gatorade to treat his coronavirus symptoms and it’s being reported that jail staff are not properly checking on his health like they are instructed to.
