YFN Lucci has officially been given a prison sentence after accepting a plea deal in his racketeering case. As The Shade Room previously reported, the 32-year-old’s case was set to go to trial after the rapper rejected an initial plea deal in June 2023.

More Details Regarding YFN Lucci’s Plea Deal & Sentence
According to WSB-TV, the rapper’s plea deal was announced in a Fulton County court in Atlanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, January 23. The rapper has pleaded guilty to one count of “violation of the Street Gang Terrorism and Prevention Act.”
Georgia State University Law Review reports that the act “makes it a misdemeanor offense to actively participate in a criminal street gang.” Additionally, the legislation “provides sentence enhancements for crimes committed in connection with membership in a street gang.”
The outlet adds that the prosecution proposed YFN Lucci be sentenced to twenty years with 10 years served in prison.
Since the rapper reportedly surrendered to authorities in 2021, he will receive about three years of credit for time served.
Additionally, WSB-TV reports that YFN Lucci will be eligible for parole around April or May. If his parole is granted, he will serve the remainder of his sentence on probation.
The Rapper’s Lawyer Speaks Out
According to TMZ, Lucci’s attorney, Drew Findling, shared an exclusive statement with the outlet. Findling has asserted that YFN Lucci “will not cooperate in any other case.”
Additionally, he shared his firm belief that YFN Lucci will receive parole.
“As he has maintained for three years now, Mr. Bennett will NOT cooperate in any other case,” Findling reportedly told TMZ. “By entering into this resolution, he will be eligible for parole in as early as four months from now. The prosecution has also agreed that he should be released early on parole and this will allow him to get back to his children, family and career.”

As The Shade Room previously reported, the 32-year-old was involved in an extensive gang indictment and surrendered to authorities in 2021.
According to WSB-TV, Lucci was initially charged with “numerous felony counts” in the case. This reportedly included felony murder, which carried a possible life sentence, in addition to 12 other charges, per TMZ.
TMZ reports that authorities didn’t accuse the rapper of being the person to commit murder. However, they believed he was the getaway driver.
