More Details About The Reported Discrimination & Harassment Lawsuit Against Ye
According to TMZ, a man named Trevor Phillips recently filed a lawsuit against Ye. Phillips was reportedly brought on as a member of the rapper’s Yeezy team in late 2022.
Around that time, Phillips says, he was “tasked with growing the cotton production for Kanye’s fashion line.”
However, the former employee notes that his duties quickly expanded. In addition to his initial duties, he was allegedly given responsibility for handling tasks for Donda Academy. Phillips alleges that he began to “experience difficulty” with this.
The lawsuit reportedly notes that his new responsibilities arrived around the time Ye drew negative publicity as a result of his “public rants.”
In the lawsuit, Phillips alleges that Ye shared “antisemitic views with Donda Academy staffers” and students. The suit reportedly references a particular meeting where Ye allegedly spewed the rhetoric “in front of 2 children.” During the meeting, Ye alleged shared plans of wanting to “shave their heads” and “put a jail at the school.”
Furthermore, Ye reportedly threatened that students would be “locked in cages under his proposed plan.”
In the suit, Phillips also alleges Ye spoke to him about his sex life and shared his intentions “to go on the attack against gay people.”
“Gay people are not true Christians. And gay people are controlled by Bill Gates so that they don’t have children for population control,” Ye reportedly told Phillip, according to TMZ.
According to TMZ, Phillips was fired from Ye’s employment in May 2023. The former employee alleges that Ye “bullied” Black employees and is suing the rapper for “discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment,” and other causes.

A Brief Recap On The Clusure Of Donda Academy & Subsequent Lawsuits
According to Page Six, Ye opened the doors to Donda Academy in 2022. The institution was reportedly named after the rapper’s mother, who passed away from plastic surgery complications in 2007.
The outlet reports that Donda Academy was intended to serve as a school for children between kindergarten and 12th grade.
However, in October of that year, the institution briefly closed its doors due to antisemitic comments shared by Ye around that time, per The Shade Room.
“At the discretion of our founder, Donda Academy will close for the remainder of the 2022-2023 school year, effective immediately,” Jason Angell, the school’s principal, announced at the time.
Then, in April 2023, two teachers from the academy sued the school for “unlawful education practices” and racial discrimination, per The Shade Room. However, the legal trouble didn’t end there.
Page Six reports that another teacher sued the academy for wrongful termination in June 2023. Meanwhile, a gym teacher added to the mounting lawsuits in July 2023.
As The Shade Room previously reported, classes have yet to resume at Donda Academy. Additionally, the institution now reportedly sits in a state of decay.
