We all know it can be a hassle when traveling, however, we understand that there are safety precautions that need to be followed. Those who are familiar with flying know you cannot even make it through TSA without a boarding pass and proper identification. According to CNN, authorities are currently investigating a woman that managed to board a Delta Airlines flight from Orlando to Atlanta without a boarding pass or proper identification.
The Orlando Police Department responded to a suspicious person report at the airport on Saturday. When the officers arrived the woman was escorted from the plane after she failed to show a boarding pass for the flight. When asked to present the pass and her ID, the woman reportedly claimed to have thrown her boarding pass away and said she had no identification.
TSA said to CNN in a statement that the woman was screened prior to boarding the plane. They continued to state, “We are working with law enforcement to investigate the incident at the plane and will not be providing any additional information at this time.”
The airline also issued an apology to the passengers as they were rescreened for precaution purposes. They apologized “for the delay after a person not ticketed for that flight was removed from the aircraft.”
Delta continued in their statement, Delta is working with local law enforcement and the Transportation Security Administration on their investigation and we are conducting our own review of this as well. Safety and security is always our top priority.”
The woman was escorted to a shuttle bus by officers so she could exit the property.
Roommates, what are your thoughts?
