A 20-year-old woman is accused of second-degree murder after New Orleans police say she stabbed her own cousin to death during a fight. According to reports, Dannisha Green and her 22-year-old cousin Brittany Seymour had a physical fight due to an “ongoing disagreement over an ex-boyfriend.” As the fight and murder happened, a crowd just stood and watched.
Reportedly, Seymour went to the House of Blues to celebrate her 22nd birthday and ran into Green and her sister by surprise.
“The affidavit, citing one witness, says the fight between Seymour and Green at the bar ended when security broke it up. It says Brittany Seymour and two witnesses left the bar and were walking in the 300 block of Decatur Street when she and Green again started to fight,” The Times-Picayune reports.
Sources say Green grabbed her cousin by the hair with one hand and stabbed her in the abdomen with the other.
Green has been booked on second-degree charges.
