Woman Calls Police To Report Black Man Babysitting Two White Kids

#Roommates, it looks like we can add #BabysittingWhileBlack to the long list of things black people can’t seem to do without someone calling 911. Seriously though, can we live?!

According to reports, a white woman stopped Corey Lewis outside a Walmart in Cobb County, Georgia after seeing him with two white kids. Lewis, who’s a family friend and youth mentor, was babysitting the children, but the woman insisted to speak to the kids and even asked if they were okay. After Lewis refused to let her speak to them, she called the cops and proceeded to follow them home.

CBS reports that when the cops arrived, they questioned the kids, ages 6 and 10, then called their parents, who were in disbelief of the situation.

“I said are you saying that because there’s an African American male driving my two white kids, that he was stopped and pulled over and questioned and he said I’m sorry ma’am that’s exactly what I’m saying,” mother Dana Mango told CBS46.

“B-W-B which I guess is the new thing, babysitting while black,” dad Parker added.

The woman’s identity hasn’t been released but the parents say they don’t believe she had good intentions because the children did not appear to be in danger.

The parents said Lewis, who runs a mentoring program called Inspired By Lewis that the two kids attend, was “stalked, harassed and questioned by police” just because he was black.

Lewis documented the entire incident on Facebook Live, which you can check out here. Roommates, watch it then tell us your thoughts.
