A member of the Austrian-German auto dynasty, billionaire Wolfgang Porsche, has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife, Claudia. The 79-year-old has cited Claudia’s “dementia-like illness” as the cause for the split, the Daily Beast reported, citing German-language tabloid Bild.
Wolfgang Porsche reportedly resides in Austria and currently serves as “chairman of the Supervisory Board of Porsche Automobil Holding SE, as well as Porsche AG.”
His family’s assets are reportedly worth over $22 billion, as he’s the youngest son of “former Porsche AG designer and chief executive officer Ferdinand Porsche Jr. and Dorothea Reitz” and the grandson of the founder of Porsche AG, Ferdinand Porsche Sr.
Wolfgang Porsche met Claudia Porsche, 74, in 2007 and the couple tied the knot in 2019. The pair share two children.
Reportedly Claudia’s illness “took hold” two years ago. But has since impacted her personality, making it difficult for the couple to live together.
Allegedly Claudia, who was a former adviser to the German government, has been “unable to move without help for months.” Additionally, she has been relying on “round-the-clock care” from her daughter. As well as four housekeepers.
According to the outlet, the billionaire feels these “drastic changes” are credible “grounds for separation.”
According to Bild, the 79-year-old has reportedly been “spending more time” with a friend named Inaara Aga Khan, also known as Gabriela Prinzessin zu Leiningen, 59. The outlet reports that Khan is a “former princess.”
Khan has reportedly been divorced twice. She married Prince Karl Emich of Leiningen in 1991 and the pair divorced in 1998. Then, months after her divorce, she reportedly tied the knot with 86-year-old Swiss Karim Aga Khan IV. Their marriage lasted 16 years until the pair divorced in 2014, as reported by New York Post.
Wolfgang Porsche has also divorced once before, ending a 20-year marriage to Susanne Bresser in 2008. The ex-pair also shares two children.
