The Afrobeats Stars Are The Latest Artists To Go Public With Their Beef
On April 7, 2023, Hot 97 published a video interview with Davido via YouTube. About 11 minutes into the sit down, he revealed that he and Wizkid had a “rift” for twelve years.
However, at the time, he explained that “recently” they had “chopped things up.” At this time, it remains unclear what sparked a new rift between the artists.
Meanwhile, Davido and Wizkid aren’t the only artist embroiled in public beef. In March, a rift ignited between Drake and Kendrick Lamar after Lamar took shots at the ‘6 God’ on Future & Metro Boomin’s single, ‘Like That,” per The Shade Room.
Since then, beef has also ignited between Drake and Rick Ross and spilled over into the rest of the rap game, with JT and Yung Miami trading words, JT and GloRilla trading shots, and Chris Brown and Quavo trading rap disses.
