TSR Black Excellence: I know I’m not the only one getting my entire life to Moesha right now! Despite the overall nostalgic feel of the show, us 80s and 90s kids were truly blessed to have a young Black heroine on TV like Moesha as someone to look up to.
She was smart, she was beautiful, and she was realistic. ‘Moesha’ gave us so much more than just a role model however.
Without the TV series, we wouldn’t have several great Black shows that we know and love today! While we all recognize “The Parkers” as one of the more famous spinoffs of Moesha, perhaps you may or may not have known that “Girlfriends” and “The Game” exist in the same universe!
