Everyone loves the Obamas and I’m sure we will all be here for all the tea the Obamas may spill in their books! After winning a bidding war spectacle with major publishers, the winning publisher Penguin House has secured a major deal with the former First couple for books set to be released in 2018.
CEO Markus Dohle said they will work together with the Obamas to “make each of their books global publishing events of unprecedented scope and significance.”
The announcement came just after the Financial Times reported that auction between big publishers surpassed the 60 million mark!
According to the publisher’s announcement, the Obamas “plan to donate a significant portion of their author proceeds to charity, including the Obama Foundation.”
Penguin Random House will also donate one million books “in the Obama family’s name.”
