The #NewYorkPoliceDepartment has a whole love rectangle on its hands! It all started with a female cop who became enraged when she learned her sergeant boyfriend was cheating on her with another female cop who is — get this — married to a man who is also an NYPD officer!
When the sergeant’s girlfriend learned about him cheating, she got her revenge by exposing their affair on #Instagram.
Officer #TyeisCoppin allegedly posted pictures of her boyfriend, NYPD Sgt. #KandouWorley, kissing his married boo, Officer #StephanieGallardo. The whole ordeal prompted NYPD to swoop in and strip Worley of his firearms, according to the @nydailynews.
NYPD officials first learned about this messy love affair on December 30th when they were tipped off to pictures that surfaced on Worley’s Instagram. “I told my girl I loved her 10 mins b4 I f****d this one,” said the caption of one of the photos that Coppin allegedly uploaded to his page.
“She’s someone’s wife, she’s not my girl tho,” another photo was captioned. “I have one and this is not her!!!!”
Worley, 40, and Gallardo, along with Gallardo’s husband, all work in the NYPD’s prestigious strategic response group, which responds to situations such as terror attacks, civil unrest and other major emergencies.
Gallardo was called in for an internal interview. She told the NYPD that she married her husband in 2014, two years after attending the police academy together. While they have a 20-month-old daughter and continue to live together, Gallardo claims they are now separated, according to the report.
She said she dated Worley in September and October but never did more than kiss him.
According to the internal report, Gallardo told cops what Worley had told her: his steady girlfriend, Tyeis Coppin, had gained access to his Instagram account and in a fit of rage posted the photos of him and Gallardo together.
After speaking with Gallardo, the higher ups took away Worley’s guns.
“You are allowed to have a relationship with a subordinate,” unless those subordinates are recruits in the Police Academy, said Sgt. Brendan Ryan, an NYPD spokesman.
The NYPD also took away additional firearms from everyone else involved.
While none of the four cops had threatened each other, the guns were removed as a safety precaution, sources said. All but Worley have their guns back, according to Ryan.
Worley could get his gun backs after he is interviewed by investigators, sources said. He and the officers were not transferred and remain on full-duty.
Stay here for all the latest, #Roommates!
