#Roommates, not only was “Do It To It” a whole party vibe, but #Cherish was part of my high school soundtrack. I used to be in my teenage feels with “Unappreciated,” while “Shawty Is A Killa” stayed on my workout playlist.
Well I’ve been craving #R&B like that and wanted to catch up with one of my favorite girl groups to see what’s poppin? Well as we previously reported, Cherish is now a duo! While the four sisters are continue to make music together, the group’s next studio album will primarily consist of songs by twins Fallon and Felisha King.
In addition to the upcoming studio album, which is set to drop in a few months, Fallon exclusively told #TheShadeRoom that they’re putting out an album called “Lost Files” that will feature never-been released music from Cherish circa 2008-2014. And just because you haven’t seen the sisters doesn’t mean they haven’t been working and getting that songwriting coin. Not only will you be hearing their music on the current seasons of #Empire and #Star, the duo has also been writing for a number of your faves including Tamar Braxton, Sevyn Streeter and Dani Leigh.
“The artists you don’t see are probably writing your favorite music,” Fallon said.
As far as the new album, Fallon says the vibe will be new age R&B with that nostalgic Cherish sound and sisters Neosha and Farrah will also be featured on the new EP.
So #Roomies, are y’all here for some new music from Cherish? Let us know!
