“Ready To Rumble!” What To Expect At President Joe Biden And Donald Trump’s Presidential Debates

President Joe Biden and former president Donald Trump have agreed to duke it out in two campaign debates! According to the Associated Press, the politicos will go toe-to-toe in June and again in September.

CNN will host the first debate, and the ABC network will host the second one. June’s debate is so unusually early on the political calendar that neither Biden nor Trump will have formally accepted his party’s nomination.

Trump & Biden Take Jabs At Each Other

After Biden accepted CNN’s debate invitation, he said, “Over to you, Donald.” He quoted Trump, who insisted that he would debate Biden anytime and anywhere.

On Truth Social, Trump said he’d be there, adding, “Let’s get ready to Rumble!!!” Soon after that, they agreed to the second debate on ABC.

“Trump says he’ll arrange his own transportation,” Biden wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter. The President added a little shade, declaring he would continue to occupy the Oval Office. “I’ll bring my plane, too. I plan on keeping it for another four years,” he said.

“Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020, since then he hasn’t shown up for a debate,” Biden said in a post on X. “Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal,” Biden said, quoting Clint Eastwood’s character Harry Callahan in ‘Sudden Impact.’

Trump said Biden was the “WORST debater I have ever faced – He can’t put two sentences together!”

Why Campaign Debates Are Critical

Judging from how quickly the two agreed on the debate dates, each opponent is confident they can take down the other in a head-to-head showdown.

Trump and his team are convinced the debates will highlight voters’ concerns about Biden’s age and competence. On the other hand, Biden’s team believes Trump’s crazy rhetoric will remind voters why they voted him out of the White House in the first place.

Additionally, the presidential debates are always critical moments, and they could be particularly important this year. However, some voters are underwhelmed with their choices. Many have expressed concerns about the candidates’ ages—Biden is 81, and Trump is 77.

CNN revealed that its debate would be held at 9 p.m. ET in its Atlanta studios with no audience present. Anchors Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate. ABC has yet to offer details on where its event will be held.

Something tells us the verbal jabs at the presidential debates may give ‘Love & Hip Hop’ reunions a run for their money!
