It looks like the story of Wendy Williams will soon make its way to our television screens. On Tuesday, Lifetime announced that they are developing a biopic based on Wendy.
According to People, the project will chronicle the “highs and lows she has experienced throughout her show.” Wendy will be on board to executive produce the project, and it will go into production this fall with Will Packer Media. The film is scheduled to premiere in 2020.
According to the press release, “The authorized project provides a revealing look at Wendy’s journey, from her scrappy upstart days in urban radio to the success of her own syndicated talk show.”
Leigh Davenport will write the script for the film, and a documentary about Wendy’s life is scheduled to premiere as well.
As many of you know, Wendy Williams has had an eventful year thus far.
