Today’s news reveals that #IHOP was basically playing us when they temporarily switched their name to “IHOB”.
The restaurant chain apparently made this temporary change as a marketing strategy to promote their new burger line-up.
“We knew we had a very tough job to do to convince people that we take our burgers as seriously as we take our pancakes,” Stephanie Peterson, IHOP’s executive director of communications said. “So, we went bold with the campaign.”—Read more at theshaderoom.com
Welp, the name change definitely got people talking, but it didn’t increase the likelihood of customers eating there according to YouGov found.
