Ryan Lochte and one of his U.S teammates were reportedly robbed at gunpoint in Brazil early Sunday morning, according to Lochte’s mom, but the IOC claims that’s ‘absolutely not true.’
According to USA Today, Lochte’s mom said her son called her right after the terrifying incident took place and told her that the thieves took his wallet and that was it.
Now the story gets interesting because David Marsh, Lochte’s personal coach for the swim team, said he was with Lochte later Sunday morning and he didn’t mention anything about being robbed!
Mark Adams, IOC spokesman said any claims about Lochte being robbed are false!
Was this a bad joke gone wrong or was Lochte really robbed?!
