Hall of Fame and former defensive tackle Warren Sapp has recently expressed his interest in donating his brain to the Concussion Legacy Foundation.
According to the LA Times, Sapp’s interest in donating his brain comes from his days playing as a defensive tackle, which caused him to suffer from memory loss throughout the years. “I just can’t remember like I used to, and it’s from the banging we did as football players,” Sapp said.
Sapp does acknowledge the steps Football has taken to improve safety but feels like it’s not quite 100% there yet. “Let’s get the research, let’s apply the knowledge and let’s make it better for everybody,” Sapp said.
