Walmart has just revealed that they are helping all of their 1.5 million employees obtain a college degree! Beginning on Wednesday, employees can begin enrolling at the University of Florida, Brandman University or Bellevue University.
Walmart partnered with #GuildEducation which is “a tuition reimbursement and education platform that helps large employers extend education benefits, including tuition reimbursement, to workers,” according to @CNBC.
The program will cost employees $1 a day for 365 days a year and Wally World will take care of the rest. “Workers will be able to choose from the three nonprofit schools and have the option of taking classes online with the flexibility to study during the evenings or on weekends,” CNBC reports.
Currently, employees can obtain an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in either business or supply chain management, but more degree options will be added over time.
How cool is that!?
