This morning, we shared a video clip of #WakaFlocka on #BBCRadio where he questioned #GucciMane’s street cred. He alleged that ‘East Atlanta Santa’ hasn’t even been to the Eastside since being released from prison. “Hey, since he been out, did he shoot a video in East Atlanta?” he asked the #BBCRadio hosts. “All right. I’m exposing these folks. I ain’t no hater, I’m just exposing.”
In addition to his statement, Waka pretty much squashed any chance of there being a #BrickSquad reunion. “[A reunion] ain’t never happening,” he said. “That Brick Squad was history. I enjoyed it, I loved it, it made me who I am today. It made him who he was today. But enough is enough, man. The Internet is not the streets.”
The rapper’s interview comes after recently sharing cover art for a new song called “Was My Dog.” It features a silhouette of Gucci Mane (who he also tagged in the pic) with angel wings and many have speculated that it’s a diss record. Whether or not that’s true, Waka says the song will only illustrate “the truth.” “The truth is the truth,” he explained. “Some stuff you gotta get off your chest or it’s gonna make you, like, an angry person.”
It’s no secret that these two are not on good terms and probably never will be. In an interview with The Breakfast Club back in December, Gucci said his peace about Flocka and pretty much said he doesn’t plan on talking to him evaaa again. “I wish him well, but the door closed for me,” he said. “If I ain’t talked to you in 3 years, no need for us to have a talk.” Welp.
