Waka Flocka shared his inner thoughts just hours after RadarOnline revealed his request to seal the records of his ongoing divorce! As we last reported, the ‘No Hands’ rapper updated his petition against Tammy Rivera in light of her recent social media tussle with his current girlfriend, Melanie.
In the updated filing, Waka requested a confidentiality agreement that would ban him and Tammy from publicly discussing their divorce. Still, he seemingly responded to the filing becoming public information via his Instagram.
On Monday (Mar. 19), Waka shared a meme that expresses no desire for anything someone else has. This came just a few hours after RadarOnline published their report. The meme’s list included “a bag…a life…a relationship…NOTHING.” Instead, the meme says, “I want whatever GOD wants me to have respectfully.”
His caption, however, shed some light on his current state of mind. In his words, Waka Flocka says he’s “at peace,” and anyone trying to interrupt that is “working for the little devil.”
Waka wrote:
“God, please let these folks know I’m good good [prayer hands emoticon]. I’m at Peace and if you tryna steal or take that from me, you gotta be working for the little devil… Nowadays, I only pray on my most joyful days because when the heats on, FAITH is my only protection… I just wanna tell everybody I love you, and I wish God stop all hurt because I came up so dangerous and so reckless even I look in the mirror and say to myself… ONLY GOD GOT ME THRU THOSE TIMES!!!”
He followed up with a second post thanking his brothers for playing important roles in his life. His caption partially read, “Sometimes we overlook how important it is to have living, caring, and understanding family members that wanna see you win and wanna see you at the top of the game!!!”
He then credited his mother, Debra, for raising “solid men.”
Many fans believed that the ex-pair was already divorced. Then, amid clapping back at Melanie, Tammy Rivera revealed they were still legally married.
For context, Waka filed to end their eight-year marriage on May 23, 2023. However, per the court docs, they had separated on Dec. 1, 2021. In the initial petition, the ATL artist added that they’ve been living in a state of separation ever since. He also said their marriage had “no reasonable hope of reconciliation.”
In the most recent filing for their divorce, Waka Flocka is asking a judge to prohibit him and Tammy Rivera from “discussing the proceedings and any aspect of the proceedings in the media to include but not limited to social media, print media, internet, radio, and or television media.”
Tammy reportedly hasn’t reacted to the divorce petition or the updated filing, per Radar. A judge has also yet to rule on Waka’s request.
As we previously broke it down for y’all, Tammy and Melanie seemingly exchanged shady Instagram Story posts last week. Things got a lil’ more tense when Charlie Rivera, Tammy and Waka’s 18-year-old daughter, hopped in the mix. She seemingly clapped back at Melanie’s post that implied Tammy was “washed up.”
It’s unclear if Waka and Tammy have spoken directly since the shady exchanges. However, since then, Tammy has been popping out a lil’ bit more online. She revealed that she got a tattoo of his legal name covered up.
But what really hooked fans was the sneak peek she shared of her man following all the drama. Yesterday, she seemingly paid the headlines about the divorce filing dust.
Instead, Tammy took to her Instagram Story to reveal that her boyfriend bought her a special cat. For those who don’t know, Rivera is a cat lover and revealed that she now owns four of them.
“My cat daddy bought me a marine coon cat today,” Tammy wrote on Instagram Story, placing a heart-eyed emoji over her man’s face.
