Yesterday, the news was announced that Maroon 5 would be headlining the Halftime Show for Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta.
Waka Flocka spoke with TMZ and said that the NFL should have chosen a different performer since they’ll be coming to Atlanta.
He said, “I think for the Super Bowl you should have someone from Atlanta representing’ Atlanta. Just cause the Super Bowl here we can give them that spice. I think they should have someone like Migos, Future, somebody I could come play ‘Hard In The Paint’, somebody I don’t know. They need somebody from Atlanta in it, it’s only right. It’s not fair, but its the NFL we’re talking about.”
He reiterated that his views are just his opinion and added that the league is insensitive to people’s feelings. He mentions Colin Kaepernick’s movement and says with the NFL being influenced by the culture, they could have chosen someone to represent the culture.
Needless to say, Waka recognizes Maroon 5 as legends but prefers to see to some like the Migos on the halftime stage in Atlanta.
Roommates, do you agree?
