“You deserve better!” As the world is still coming to terms with Ne-Yo’s estranged wife, Crystal Smith’s revelation about him cheating for eight years, actress Vivica A. Fox is taking a different approach. The actress reminds the mother of three that even through heartbreak, she deserves more. On a recent episode of Fox Soul’s ‘Cocktails With Queens,’ Vivica had an encouraging message for Crystal.
“You deserve better, sweetheart. You tried. I know sometimes a lot of women say,’ I don’t wanna break up my family, this that and the third.’ It’s not working. Move on, get counseling for yourself, young lady, so that you’ll know that you deserve a man to treat you like a queen,” she said.
“That’s what you deserve. Stop staying for the fame or the Instagram post. You deserve for a man to love you for you so that when you lay down in the bed next to him, you don’t feel that he’s going to bring you a disease.”
If you recall, on July 31st, Crystal wrote a lengthy message on Instagram claiming that her husband cheated on her throughout their 8-year relationship and had unprotected sex with multiple women.
“8 years of lies and deception. 8 years of unknowingly sharing my life and husband with numerous of women who sell their bodies to him unprotected,” she wrote. “Every last one of them! To say I’m heartbroken and disgusted is an understatement. To ask me to stay and accept it is absolutely insane. The mentality of a narcissist. I will no longer lie to the public or pretend that this is happening. It isn’t. I choose me; I choose my happiness and health and my respect.”
Although Crystal may have the support from Vivica, that hasn’t stopped people from pointing out that this may be her karma. The streets haven’t forgiven Ne-Yo for how he ended things with his ex-fiancée, Monyetta Shaw. The mother of his two eldest children underwent a procedure to have her fallopian tubes burnt after they both agreed they didn’t want more children.
Sadly two months before their wedding, the GRAMMY award-winning singer called it off and started a new family with Crystal. Roommates, do you think more women should sympathize with Crystal?
