Roommates, word on the street is that a new show about the First Ladies of the United States is coming to Showtime and none other than Viola Davis is playing our forever First Lady Michelle Obama.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Viola is teaming up with her husband, JuVee Productions and Lionsgate to produce the drama series. Apparently, the show will focus on the personal and political lives of the famous First Ladies. And give us a deeper look at what their lives are like pre and post White House.
Season one will reportedly chronicle the lives of Eleanor Roosevelt, Betty Ford and Michelle Obama! As far as the other details of the drama, there are scarce but if I’m being honest anything with Viola Davis and Michelle Obama, I’m watching. Just take all my coins!
Viola’s been in her bag lately, she’s even executive producing a new documentary side-by-side with Stephen Curry about the Charleston shootings. Not to be outdone by her executive producer resume, Viola also has some films in the works. Word is she’s also staring alongside Lupita N’yongo in a war thriller. Simply put, it’s looking like 2020 is going to be Viola’s year, okay!
