After news broke that Young Thug and Gunna were among 26 other people who were charged with street gang activity, Gunna was noticeably missing.
As the District Attorney of Fulton County, Atlanta Police, and Fulton County sheriff held a press conference on Tuesday about Young Thug’s arrest, the sheriff confirmed Gunna was not in custody.
While speaking with reporters, authorities stated that Gunna had not been arrested but his reps were in contact with the sheriff.
“He’s not in custody.”
After being asked if arrangements were made for him to surrender or if he was considered a fugitive, the sheriff responded:
We’re making arrangements as much as he had representatives call me last night directly. We’ll muddle through that piece and let you know.
As previously reported, District Attorney Fani Willis discussed using social media to secure indictments on 28 members of the YSL gang.
I knew that question was coming. I believe in the first amendment. It’s one of our precious rights. However, the first amendment doesn’t protect people from prosecutors using it as evidence, if it is such.
She also addressed YFN Lucci and Young Thug being held in the same prison.
I won’t step outside of my lane. I am the District Attorney of Fulton County; I am not the sheriff. I have great confidence in the sheriff. He knew this was coming as a law enforcement partner.
As previously reported, Gunna faces one count of “conspiring to violate (RICO).”
Roomies, what do you think of this?
