Roommates, it’s been six months since the world was shocked and heartbroken at the news that basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi passed away in a helicopter crash. Well understandably, things have been incredibly difficult for Vanessa Bryant—and she just made a decision regarding social media that will hopefully help her continue to heal.
Vanessa Bryant recently announced that she has decided to all block fan pages on Instagram because it’s too painful to constantly see photos of both Kobe Bryant and Gigi Bryant. She posted the heartfelt message to her Instagram stories.
Vanessa wrote the following:
“Thx so much for all the [love. ]@nataliabryant and I have unfortunately had to block fan pages because it’s been really hard to go online and constantly see pics of our beloved Gigi and Kobe under every single square of our explore pages. Blocking the fan pages has helped change the algorithm. We [love] you all but please understand that we had to do this for our own healing not because we don’t appreciate your [love.]”
As we previously reported, Kobe and Gianna Bryant tragically died in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020. A few weeks later during his memorial service at the Staples Center to over 19,000 fans, Vanessa spoke of their love story. “We really had an amazing love story,” she said. “We loved each other with our whole beings. Two perfectly imperfect people making a beautiful family and raising our sweet and amazing girls.”
