Who knows what Russia is up to these days but we all need to be on alert #Roommates! A pair of Russian nuclear-capable bombers flew near Alaska Monday night, causing the U.S. Air Force to scramble to get our own fighter jets in the air to intercept them.
According to Fox News, the jets were just 100 miles from Kodiak Island. Although the jets weren’t carrying any bombs this is extremely alarming because this is the first time Moscow sent bombers this close to the U.S. since Donnie became President.
The U.S Air Force sent two F-22 fighter jets and E-3 airborne as a warning to intercept the Russian bombers. The Russian jets appeared to be unbothered because the American jets flew beside the Russian bombers for 12 minutes before they decided to return to their base in Russia.
The last time Russian bombers flew this close to the U.S. was in July 2015.
