Child support is a highly discussed topic on social media and today was no different. On Wednesday, a video of Block, the father to Kandi Burruss’ daughter, Riley, started to trend when he was discussing paying Kandi child support and his relationship with his now adult daughter
When speaking to Vlad TV, he mentioned that Riley, 19, may be jealous of his relationship with his other daughters. Block stated, “Every last one of my kids lives with me from when they’re born until they graduate except Kandi’s [daughter],” Block explained.
He continued, “I’ve got an accomplished name, [and I gave my kids who lived with me] a lot of stuff. And I think it’s a lot of jealousy because Riley wasn’t in that situation because her mom put me on child support.”
Riley didn’t take those words lightly. The New York college student stepped into TSR and asked him to stop speaking about her and her mama, Kandi.
“My mom and I always try to take the high road,” Riley expressed. But honestly it’s really upsetting that I constantly have to see you badmouthing us publicly.I was blessed to be raised in a household where my mom provided the best life I could have.” Riley continued to say, “No jealousy here. I would appreciate it if you could stop talking about us.”
Prior to Riley’s statement, Kandi responded to Block with a reposted meme and a caption that read, “I don’t care how well you think I’m doing, I just need that money you owe me.” She also wrote, “Don’t BLOCK your blessings by not doing right by your children.”
Kandi also explained why she asked for child support in the first place. She tweeted, “Riley wanted it. She said that was her money, and it was owed to her. It’s not like I was going to get new money or something.” She also responded to another fan, tweeting, “Well, I get what you’re saying, but it’s Riley, and she’s in college, living in NYC. So it’s going to her. Of course, I’m not gonna let her just waste it.”
As you know, this was also previously discussed on RHOA. While Block has paid the child support, he felt like shouldn’t have been put on child support.
Roomies, what do you think about this situation?
