Nicki Minaj Speaks About Her Recent Experience In Amsterdam

Earlier this week, Minaj apparently took to Stationhead to connect with her fans via audio stream. During her time on the platform, the rapper spoke about her recent detainment in Amsterdam.

Minaj explained that she couldn’t recall “the last time” she ever felt that “low.”

“And not only that, but knowing that something is being done to you on purpose,” she continued. “You are a confident, other race, you know? But I’m not — like I said, I’m not going to get into it… and tell you guys the joy they took in it…”

In additional audio obtained by a user on X, formerly known as Twitter, @O_Truths, Minaj explained that the treatment she witnessed while detained was “disgusting” and she wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

Furthermore, Minaj explained that even when the Dutch police shared a press release alleging she had been released from custody, she was “still in the building.”

“They were doing, maybe, damage control, I don’t know,” she said.

Ultimately, Minaj explained that despite what happened, she’s doing well. Additionally, she said that she is currently focused on her ongoing tour and duty to her fans.

Here’s Why The Rapper Was Taken Into Custody

As The Shade Room previously reported, Minaj was taken into custody by police in Amsterdam on Saturday, May 25. At the time, she arrived at the airport, intending to board a flight to Manchester, England.

Before exiting her van, a man informed her that her luggage needed to be offloaded and searched.

Ultimately, Minaj was accused of transporting marijuana. Furthermore, the rapper captured the ordeal on camera.

From there, the rapper took to Instagram Live to capture events as the ordeal escalated. Ultimately, Minaj was placed under arrest and transported to a nearby police station.

Here’s What Nicki Minaj Previously Said About Her Arrest

According to Entertainment Tonight, Minaj returned to X on Saturday evening to let her fans know she arrived safely in Manchester. Additionally, she thanked her Barbz for their support and apologized for her Manchester ‘Pink Friday 2’ tour stop being postponed.

“Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you & all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination,” she wrote on X

Ultimately, Minaj explained that she would let her lawyers address the incident moving forward.

“…So they succeeded at their plan to not let me get on that stage tonight,” she added. “I succeeded @ getting to the root of it all by recording them & posting everything in real time. I have sooooooooo much video evidence. You wouldn’t believe it if I told you. I’ll have the lawyers & GOD take it from here tho. Please please please accept my deepest & most sincere apologies. They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass…”

Despite the hiccup her recent arrest caused with her Manchester tour stop, Minaj has returned to the stage and appears to be in high spirits. On Tuesday, May 28, Minaj performed alongside Dancehall artist Beenie Man.

Furthermore, she took to X, to share her excitement and gratitude.

“I just performed with the KING OF DANCEHALL,” she wrote. One of the most talented musicians that I looked to for inspiration my entire career. I can’t believe this is my life sometimes. Wow. came to #GAGCITYLONDON yall!!!!!!! One of my heroes. I love this man so much. @KingBeenieMan”
