University Of Kansas Issues Apology After Snoop Dogg Performs With Pole Dancers

The University Of Kansas welcomed  Snoop Dogg to perform at its Late Night in the Phog event, but it looks like they got much more than they expected. The family friendly event was put together to celebrate the start of basketball season, and Snoop’s performance was just the icing on the cake.

Apparently, the university advised Uncle Snoop to come through and perform a 35-minute show featuring the radio edits of his hits. Snoop may not have gotten the memo, and performed the explicit versions of his songs, according to XXL.

In a video from the event, Snoop can be seen performing ‘Gin and Juice’ standing beside a stripper pole. Unc had an exotic dancer in teeny tiny shorts dancing right beside him too!

The show reportedly offended many people in attendance, as it was a family friendly event, causing the University of Kansas athletic director to release a statement apologizing.

“We apologize to anyone who was offended by the Snoop Dogg performance at Late Night,” Jeff Long said. “We made it clear to the entertainers’ managers that we expected a clean version of the show and took additional steps to communicate tour fans, including moving the artist to the final act of the evening, to ensure that no basketball activities would be missed if anyone did not want to stay for his show.”

Jeff continues:

“Take full responsibility for not thoroughly venting all the details the performance and offer my personal apology to those who were offended. We strive to create a family atmosphere at Kansas and fell short of that this evening.”

Reactions may not be able to been seen in the video, but a senior writer for The Athletic NBA has a unique opinion about Snoop’s set, and the university’s reaction.

“KU invited Snoop Dogg to do a show but is upset Snoop Dogg did a Snoop Dogg show,” he writes on Twitter. “Stripper poles & money guns felt like KU giving a middle finger to the NCAA after program gothic with charges of malfeasance. Cus what else did you expect? You hired Snoop.”

No word from Snoop, but it’s safe to say Snoop doesn’t regret one thing!
