Roommates, it looks like Snoop Dogg may have a lawsuit coming his way after he posted a complaint about an Uber Eats order he never received on Instagram. On January 22nd, Snoop shared a video that currently has over 4,046,900 views where he went off because a driver felt the location he was driving to was unsafe. However, the ordeal has escalated to another level, and the driver is considering pursuing legal action.
According to CBS LA, the driver Sayd, who didn’t want his last name released, says Snoop’s video has negatively impacted his life. It may have compromised his safety because the video shows his name, photo, and license plate number. “There’s my picture there, and also there is my first name,” he said. The delivery driver said he was unaware he was delivering to Snoop when he was sent to an industrial area in Inglewood.
Sayd made sure that he followed Uber’s protocol and waited eight minutes before canceling Snoop’s order. “I contacted the customer many times, and I also followed the protocol by the book,” Sayd said. In addition, the driver said, “After I see the video, I’m kind of like…I have anxiety, and I fear for my family’s safety.” Uber released a statement stating, “We truly regret Snoop Dogg’s frustrating experience. We have reached to apologize and refunded him for the order.”
It doesn’t appear Sayd feels the statement is enough and thinks that Uber did nothing to protect him. “When I read that, I just felt like it’s not fair because I am the one that deserves an apology from Uber Eats, not Snoop,” he explained.
Currently, Sayd has not worked for Uber Eats and is unemployed. Reports don’t show that the driver has obtained legal counsel, but Sayd is reviewing his legal options and may move forward with a lawsuit.
