U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams Encourages LeBron James To Take The COVID-19 Vaccine

Now that the vaccine for COVID-19 has been approved and has become available, some public figures have taken the vaccination publicly to help encourage those who have been cautious of the vaccination.

Last week U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams took the vaccination shot publicly as he sat alongside Mike Pence and Karen Pence. Now he’s calling on LeBron James to take the vaccination and lead by example.

During an interview with KTLA, he said, “LeBron James, I know you’ve been a big supporter of masks. I want to know when you’re going to take the shot. Not the basketball shot, but the COVID shot because I did it because I know it’s safe, and we want to make sure people understand this is how we end the pandemic.”

Adams continued to state that he hasn’t been able to reach out to LeBron personally, however, he’s hoping that he could lead by example. He continued to say, “That’s how we promote confidence, we want people to lead by example.”

As we previously reported, last week, Mike Pence became the highest government official to get the shot during a televised event. Adams and Karen Pence were also on stage with Vice President Pence and received the vaccine shot as well.

On Monday, President-Elect Joe Biden also publicly took the vaccine shot, and afterwards said, “I’m doing this to demonstrate that people should be prepared when it’s available to take the vaccine.”
