Roommates, we are sending our deepest condolences to Tyrese and his loved ones following the news of his mother’s passing.
On Monday, Tyrese took to social media to share that his mother passed away. He shared an emotional video of him holding her hand while in the hospital as he emotionally said his goodbyes.
He said, “On behalf of my family and everyone who ever spent any time praying for my mother This is the saddest moment of my life………. My sweet Valentine just passed away….. May the Lord Jesus Christ and his angels open the doors of heavens and embrace her………. We as a family are broken and just can’t believe this……. May the Lord Jesus Christ honor your walk with him and embrace you into the heavens……. From here on I ask that you HOLD MY HAND MOTHER and never let my hand go………. Like you held my hand as a child and a teen never let my hand go mother…..”
As we previously reported, the week before, Tyrese shared on Instagram that he was on set when he received a call about his mother’s condition. At the time, she was in a coma and was battling pneumonia and COVID.
Tyrese shared a photo on set and said that he asked the director to cut so he could take a moment to pray. “My mother is in a coma, in ICU, with Pneumonia and she caught Covid they got her so sedated she can’t breathe or even eat on her own,” he shared.
A few days later, he returned with an update and shared with his supporters, “The doctor sat in this chair and just broke my heart by telling me there’s pretty much nothing else that can be done to turn thing around. I paused, and in my most sincere voice, I asked him…You ever heard of a man [named] Jesus Christ? Nothing is impossible for him…He paused and couldn’t respond!!”
We are keeping Tyrese and his family lifted in prayer during this difficult time.
