Tyrese has the number one R&B album in the country with Black Rose but somehow can’t get played on mainstream radio!
The singer and actor was pretty fired up at the fact that his single “Shame” is not getting played on stations other than urban radio.
In a video with TMZ, he goes to say “When I think about Sam Smith, Robin Thicke, Justin Timberlake – when they’re singing R&B soul, their songs are being played on all formats of radio, including urban radio.”
He thinks R&B is alive and well when it’s done by white artists.
Tyrese made it known that it doesn’t go both ways when it comes to sharing that good ol R&B soul on the airwaves. To him, urban stations have no problem showing white R&B?Soul artists love but mainstream radio don’t work like that.
