The matter initially came to light after Ty made an Instagram post over the weekend.
Ty’s upload showed him lying down in a hospital bed. He visibly had monitors hooked up to his chest and shoulders, though no further information was provided at the time.

Once news of Ty’s upload began spreading online, rapper Joyner Lucas dropped by The Shade Room‘s Instagram page to share more details.
He started off by sharing that Ty sustained a fall “from hella high up” while skateboarding. This resulted in a concussion, and Ty was “knocked unconscious” though the ordeal.
“My dawg fell off a skateboard from hella high up and got knocked unconscious. Got a concussion and hurt pretty bad.”
Joyner went on to share some warm words and wish him well.
“Hope for a speedy recovery my brother. Love you for like @tydollasign.”

On Sunday, Ty took to his Instagram Story to give fans a highly anticipated update on his condition.
The rapper started off by confirming that he was indeed involved in a skating mishap. Ty also shared that he “was knocked out for a few,” though his condition ultimately improved.
“They just let me out. Had a skating accident and was knocked out for a few but I’m back praise God.”
He proceeded to thank those who held it down and prayed for him during his time of need.
“Thanks to everyone that prayed for me and showed love. I love you more. Thanks @dashawnjordan, @balajibam for holding it down and getting me to the ER and my princess @jailynncrystal for being there with me the whole time I love you so much.”
