Two people were injured at a mall in Middletown, NY on Sunday after a gun “accidentally discharged.”
According to Pix 11 News, at first, it was unclear if those involved were shot or injured in any other way. The Woodbury police later reported that a round “hit the floor and ricocheted off of the glass.”
Officials say the glass shards hit those that were injured.
Those that were at the scene reported shots inside of the American Eagle, and the mall was immediately evacuated. At the moment police have not made any arrests.
One person tweeted, “A handful or staties in full assault gear told us to get the f** out of the mall and we evacuated with everyone else. It was crazy and chaotic.”
