Remember back in 2005 when Houston rapper Mike Jones had us all asking “Who Is Mike Jones?” His mainstream debut album went double platinum after the success of his singles “Still Tippin” and “Back Then.” Well, I called 281-330-8004 and the number was no longer in service. One thing we can say for sure is he definitely knew how to brand himself!
After his chart topping album he went on to release an EP, album and some mixtapes, but didn’t achieve the same buzz. He ended up taking a hiatus from the music scene for a few years but is back at it!
Last year he came back to music with his mixtape “Money Train” and is gearing up to release the sequel “Money Train: Reloaded.” He’s been taking to his Instagram and Twitter to promote his new effort with snippets, teasers and shows for his fans. Mike is still out here grinding!
