For any of our jet-setting #Roommates who have plans to travel to #Nigeria in the near future, there’s now a new airline to consider. The Nigerian government launched plans to create #NigeriaAir by the end of this year!
The country’s aviation minister #HadiSirika made the announcement at a press conference in #London yesterday, Yahoo News reports. He says the government “has a moral and social responsibility to create a new national carrier” and that the need for such an airline has had a huge demand.
Nigeria Air will be a public and private partnership but it will be fully managed by the private sector and the government will not own more than 5% of the group. Some 1,500 flying routes for domestic, regional and global operations were considered and 81 have been selected.
