It looks like Young Thug can now take a breather after his concealed gun case has been dropped.
According to TMZ, the D.A.’s Office has rejected the case due to the lack of evidence. In the legal documents obtained by the site, police were unable to find any DNA on the gun that was found in the vehicle Young Thug was riding around in.
There were three people in the vehicle at the time, and investigators were not able to determine whom the weapon belonged to, so Young Thug will not be facing any charges.
Thugger’s attorney spoke with the site and said, “I commend the District Attorney’s Office for making the right decision after carefully reviewing the facts and body worn video over the past 9 months. The fact so much time and work went into this decision reinforces trust in our system of justice.”
If you all can remember, last year, it was reported that someone from Young Thug’s team reportedly ran into a police car, which led to their vehicle being searched and that’s when the weapons were found.
However, it turns out that the police cruiser was reportedly “unable to stop in time,” and ended up hitting their vehicle.
At the time videos of Young Thug being handcuffed started to go viral. The incident took place outside of his birthday celebration/ album release party.
