It was a story that enraged a lot of people, #Roommates. A white woman, who has been dubbed #CornerstoneCaroline, apologized after falsely accusing a young black boy of groping her inside of a #Brooklyn deli, and now that kid is speaking out for the first time.
The boy, identified in reports as 9-year-old #JeremiahHarvey, said that he isn’t accepting 53-year-old Teresa Sue Klein’s apology, according to @vicenews.
“I don’t forgive this woman, and she needs help,” Jeremiah told @abc7ny this week. The woman accused him of grabbing her backside but surveillance video proved that the boy was simply walking past her while she was at the counter and that his backpack brushed up against her as he was leaving the store with his mother.
“I was wrong,” Klein told Brooklyn 12 News about allegedly calling 911 on the boy. “The child accidentally brushed me.”
“Young man, I don’t know your name,” she added, “but I’m sorry.”
In a viral video of the incident, you can hear #CornerstoreCaroline on the phone claiming that the little boy grabbed her butt. “I just was sexually assaulted by a child,” she said, appearing to talk to the police although authorities said they never received the call.
“White lady calling the cops on a Black lady, I get it,” she appeared to say to the boy’s mom. “The son grabbed my a** and she decided to yell at me.”
“Are you seriously calling the police?” an onlooker asked. She went on to argue with Klein “one white girl to another.”
In the video, the little boy was clearing traumatized by her words, crying next to his mother while Klein confronted bystanders. It was all caught on camera by neighbor Jason Littlejohn.
Klein also claimed she was a cop herself, however reporters later found out that was a lie.
Do you agree with Jeremiah’s decision not to forgive the woman? Let us know!
