#Roommates, #KattWilliams will be before a judge once again today following his weekend arrest in #Portland.
Katt was on his way from the airport to perform at the #WildNOutLive concert at the #ModaCenter Friday night when he allegedly got into it with his driver, who reportedly had an issue with taking Katt and his dog to the show, according to @ap.
#PortofPortlandPolice said Katt’s town car driver had swelling and cuts on his face following the melee. Katt then reportedly left in another vehicle and was booked and arrested Saturday afternoon.
Katt has been charged with assault in the fourth degree, and an arraignment is scheduled for today. He was also arrested for an out-of-state warrant from Georgia.
A publicist for Katt did not immediately release a statement on his arrest. A jail official and a spokesman for the district attorney’s office said they didn’t know if Katt had an attorney who could speak on his behalf.
According to Multnomah County Sheriff’s records, Katt’s bail has been set at $2,500. As of Monday, Katt was still in jail, according to online inmate records.
Katt’s finding himself in legal drama just shortly after he won an Emmy for his performance in FX’s Atlanta. He won for outstanding guest actor in a comedy series for his role as the “Alligator Man.”
He was part of a historic group of winners because all the guest actor categories in both drama and comedy were swept by black actors. Katt even buried the hatchet with fellow comedian and Emmy award winner Tiffany Haddish when the two snapped a pic at the Emmy awards.
For his legal issues and accomplishments, we’ll keep you updated on the latest, #Roomies!
