Recently J. Cole had to cancel the inaugural Dreamville Festival due to the weather caused by Hurricane Florence. However, a new date for the highly anticipated festival has been announced.
According to Billboard, Dreamville Records announced that the festival has been successfully been rescheduled for April 6, 2019, at Dorothea Dix Park in Raleigh, NC.
Dreamville Records president Ibrahim Hamad said in a statement, “We battled with the idea of moving forward with the festival at this time or formally canceling the event. But after receiving unwavering support from the fans and the community, we are excited to announce Dreamville Festival will now take place on April 6, 2019.”
Those who purchased tickets for the original date, which was supposed to happen this month, can keep their existing tickets and they will be accepted on the festival’s new date. However, if someone is looking to get a refund, it will be granted in full if the request is made by October 5th.
Artists expected to hit the stage include Teyana Taylor, Young Thug, SZA, Big Sean, Nelly and of course J. Cole.
As we previously reported, J. Cole’s Dreamville Foundation launched a Hurricane Florence relief fund to help those affected by the hurricane in Fayetteville, NC.
