As fans continue to mourn the loss of young rapper Juice WRLD, who passed away at the age of 21, there are more details about his passing that are coming to light. His cause of death was recently revealed to be due to an alleged drug overdose—and now two of his security guards, who were with him when he died, have been arrested on gun charges.
@Billboard reports that 27-year-old Harry Dean from Chicago and 36-year-old Christopher Long from California, were both arrested and charged with misdemeanor gun counts after police found three guns, a high-capacity magazine and metal-piercing bullets. Police are currently investigating Juice WRLD’s death and as a result, stumbled upon the weapons on both men.
It’s being further reported that both Dean and Long are set to make their first court appearance on the charges later this month, although it’s unclear if they have legal representation at this time.
While the investigation into Juice WRLD’s death is still ongoing, authorities have noted that he was with a group of about a dozen people when he was transported from Chicago’s Midway International Airport to a local hospital after suffering what Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford described as a “cardiac arrest.” Sadly, he was pronounced dead only a short time later.
Currently, police have found no signs of foul play in his death and his autopsy is scheduled for this week at the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office. We want to continue to send our thoughts and prayers to Juice WRLD’s loved ones during this time.
Roommates, what are your thoughts on this?
