#Roommates, I know you remember the historic jackpot at the end of October that reached $1.5 billion, making it the second largest jackpot in lotto history. We were all crushed when we found out someone won the jackpot, but it looks like there’s still hope #Roommates!
@ABCNews reports, the winner of the jackpot has still not come forward claiming their prize. The winning ticket was purchased at a KC Mart in Simpsonville, South Carolina. A spokesperson for the lottery said: “We have not heard that the winner in South Carolina has come forward.”
According to lotto rules, the winner has 180 days to come forward from the day the ticket was purchased. The winner can take either a cash out option and receive a lump sum of $878 million or choose annuity payments and receive $1.5 Billion over 30 years.
So, it looks like we’re just going to have to hold our breaths for another 5 months roommates, if no one claims the jackpot. The money will be put back into the pot. Don’t give up hope just yet!
