AT&T has just announced it’s new addition to the family, Mobley! It’s a new invention that allows you to have a hotspot in your car.
BGR reports, “[Mobley] plugs directly into your car’s ODB II (on-board diagnostics) port and is powered by the car itself once the ignition is turned on,” so you don’t have to worry about the battery dying! It is compatible with cars manufactured in 1996 onward, when all U.S. cars were required to be equipped with the system.
AT&T Mobility executive Chris Penrose spoke about the innovative new toy in a press release.
“The ZTE Mobley is our first Wi-Fi plug-in for the car,” he said. “It allows multiple Wi-Fi-capable devices to connect to AT&T’s 4G LTE network, making it perfect for anyone on-the-go.” Once the device is turned on, the wifi is enabled within seconds, allowing up to five devices to take advantage of it’s signal!
You can assume regular social media activities and games as you please with any of the data plans through AT&T. The actual device is only $100 retail, but free with a 2-year contract.
Roommates, are y’all feeling this new gadget from AT&T?
